Surf’s Up in Long Island

World-class surfing in Long Island? Just click the pic for video proof!

For the first time ever, an ASP World Championship Tour event hits New York shores. Like a lot of things, the Quiksilver Pro New York surf competition got screwed up by Hurricane Irene, but since when has a storm stopped surfers?

The tournament continues through Sept. 15, and the surf’s looking up! Head out to Long Beach to see the action in person or watch it live while just surfing the Internetz.

UPDATE: It ended Friday. Boo.
