But it gets even funnier when College Humor writer Will Hettinger interview’s Dave and plays the word association game. Dave takes a side jab at John Stamos and talks a little about his infamous relationship with Alanis Morissette (it’s said You Oughta Know is about him), which is now the most interesting thing about his past. Dave: Nerdier than people think! (Laughs)
Will: Jodie Sweetin.
Dave: She’s a sweetheart who’s having an internal struggle.
Will: And finally, Alanis Morissette. (Dave and Alanis have dated in the past and it is rumored that her song “You Oughta Know” was written about him.)
Dave: Oooh, I should have know that was coming. Alanis is a phenomenal person. Really one of the best people I’ve ever known. And I never said that song was about me. The press made that out to be a bigger deal than it was. We laughed about it.
