NYC’s weekend of parades
2 fabulous events rocked NYC this past weekend – Gay Pride Day and The Coney Island Mermaid Parade! Gothamist tipped us to these great photos of Gay Pride celebrations on Flickr. and our girl Janet in Brooklyn sent in some wonderful shots of the Mermaid Parade – “The Annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade took over the boardwalk last Saturday for one of the most colorful events of the summer. Despite the 90+ degree weather, land lubbers, pirates and a crew of sea urchins turned out in full force to cheer on the luscious mermaid and mer-man’s.”…
