true blue

true blue
under the republican parties leadership big business owners and executives get richer while their workers get poorer. so when our friend Kim sent over a link to Choose The Blue, a site that lists the amounts and percentages that companies donate to each party, it was the “blue” companies that took us by surprise! (we expected them all to be red.)

before you shop for purchases big or small – read this site! most big businesses are GOP backers so it’s important that we do what we can to support the companies that support their workers and a better world and life for all of us!…

“You know what party a politician supports. Do you know which political party a company supports? ChooseTheBlue tells you what corporations donated to political parties. If each American who voted for John Kerry spends $100 in 2005 on a Blue company instead of a Red company, we can move $5 Billion away from Republican companies and add $5 Billion to the income of companies who donate to Democrats. This will be noticed! Choose where you buy … and make a difference!!!”

here are a few of the companies CityRag will be buying more from… Toyota, Progressive Insurance, IBM, Boar’s Head, Barnes & Noble, Jet Blue. and book and music publishing industries ROCK! – buy more books and music!

and a super FUCK-YOU to these companies, we’ll be doing everything we can to avoid buying from:
- Walmart – the retail empire of Walmart/Sam’s Club donated over 3 million $ towards the Republican campaign
- Fruit of the Loom – donated 100% towards the GOP (most companies throw a small token percentage towards the Demcratic Campaign, but not them) not a dime spent in support of their Democratic emplyeees

UPDATE: TOTC has some cool coverage on the site too
