pride and hope
putting this up as a small gesture of pride and hope for the future… my girlfriend and I celebrated our 18 year anniversary this past month (we actually met at a Pride related event many years ago.) still very much in love and very happy. we’ve lived in this city for our entire relationship and have paid an f’ing truckload in taxes over the last 18 years to the city, state and government…. so I ask ya – CAN I GET SOME RIGHTS HERE!?! I mean shit, if I died tomorrow she wouldn’t even be able to collect the social security I’ve been paying into the whole time we’ve been together. you can keep the marriage stuff – I just want the same rights and benefits straight couples have in our society. please vote for Kerry and help us move towards a future of hope for gay couples who, with no recognition from the government, contribute their efforts everyday to bettering our economy and country.
